Travel by Buses
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is served by many regular airport bus and shuttle van services that travel from the airport to central Los Angeles and all over southern California. Buses leave from car park Lot C, which is connected to the terminals by Shuttle C. Some hotels also offer a door-to-door courtesy shuttle bus services for their guests, traveling from the airport, directly to the hotel. Shuttle Services
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) shuttle service pickup areas are on the Lower / Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal building. A free shuttle service travels from here to the Metropolitan Transit Authority - Metro Green Line Light Rail's Aviation Station. For transfers between each terminal building, a free shuttle service is provided for passengers.

Taxis are readily available at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) outside of the airport's terminal buildings at the arrivals area on the lower levels. They provide a convenient and easy way to travel into nearby Los Angeles city and other destinations. The journey from Los Angeles Airport into downtown Los Angeles will take around 40 minutes, into downtown Santa Monica around 20 minutes, into Beverly Hills around 30 minutes and into Van Nuys around 40 minutes, depending on traffic. Official Los Angeles LAX airport taxi cabs, displaying the official logo, should be used at all times to ensure safety and also to avoid being overcharged.
The airport taxi meters in Los Angeles start at a basic fare, but additional charges are usually made for luggage, late-night driving and travel on public holidays in Los Angeles, so it can prove useful to ask the taxi driver about these before leaving. Fixed rates are also often available t local destinations and some Los Angeles Airport taxis are happy to accept credit cards.
