Travel by Buses

Buses leave from car park Lot C, which is connected to the terminals by Shuttle C. A free shuttle service travels from here to the Metropolitan Transit Authority - Metro Green Line Light Rail's Aviation Station. For transfers between each terminal building, a free shuttle service is provided for passengers.

The journey from Los Angeles Airport into downtown Los Angeles will take around 40 minutes, into downtown Santa Monica around 20 minutes, into Beverly Hills around 30 minutes and into Van Nuys around 40 minutes, depending on traffic. Official Los Angeles LAX airport taxi cabs, displaying the official logo, should be used at all times to ensure safety and also to avoid being overcharged.
The airport taxi meters in Los Angeles start at a basic fare, but additional charges are usually made for luggage, late-night driving and travel on public holidays in Los Angeles, so it can prove useful to ask the taxi driver about these before leaving. Fixed rates are also often available t local destinations and some Los Angeles Airport taxis are happy to accept credit cards.
